At Off the Beaten Path Safaris, we understand that ensuring education for our fellow young citizens is a very important way for our country to excel and succeed.  We support education of young children as well as enrich the educational experience for those in guiding school.

Primary Education:

We support a local orphanage in Arusha, known as Faraja Orphanage Children’s Home.  Our charitable giving sponsors several orphans per year, allowing these children to attend private primary and secondary schools.  Private schooling teaches the children in the English medium, as opposed to native Swahili.  This helps to ensure that these children will have a promising future – perhaps growing up to be wildlife guides for our company some day!

Junior Guides Program:

We also partner with the several of the local guiding colleges.  One of the programs that our company has developed involves immersion experiences in the field with the top 5 students from each of the local wildlife colleges.  We host these students in the parks with our guides and spend the day learning from each other – it is a mutually beneficial experience for all involved.  This helps to add to the knowledge of these students beyond their classroom learning.

Our goal is to ensure a strong future for the people of our country.
